July 24 Oil Work Digging Fossils

Listen, Baxter, by Wyatt Niehaus from Norway, is a meditation on people, ships and shores, labor and industry. Workers in his videos bring North Sea oil buried under the sea floor to the surface; they load it, up to $150 million of oil in a single load, on tankers. Not too distant from our experience loading Midwest oil on ships in the Columbia today, or piping Canada gas to be loaded in Coos Bay in the future.
